How should your church or commerical building prepare its heating system for winter?

Begin with the service record, occupied-space schedule, and any rooms that were difficult to heat last winter. Arrange a qualified service review before demand increases.
1. Review the history
Locate the latest service report and record unresolved issues. Note recurring complaints, unusual noises, and rooms that struggle to maintain comfort.
2. Walk the occupied spaces
Record which rooms are used daily, weekly, or only for special events. Give that schedule to the person responsible for heating operation.
3. Prepare the service conversation
Ask the service provider to identify necessary maintenance, items needing repair, and decisions that require owner approval. Request a written scope.
4. Assign the next step
Give each open item an owner and a date. Confirm completion with a service record, rather than assuming a scheduled visit resolved every concern.
